The quick way — in the app or on the website

1. Open the Because app, or go to askbecause.com and sign in.
2. Tap Account.
3. Tap Delete my account, then Yes, delete everything.

Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Can't sign in? Ask us by email

Write to [email protected] from the email address you used with Because (for Google or Apple sign-in, the email that account uses). We delete the account within 7 days and reply to confirm.

If you have a subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Cancel it first in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings, so you are not charged again.

What is deleted

• Your login: email address, or the Google / Apple sign-in identifier
• Your preferences: units, text size, colour scheme, language
• Your saved answers and your daily usage counters

What is kept, and for how long

• Invoices and purchase records, only as long as tax law requires.
• Popular answers in our shared cache carry no name or account and expire on their own within days.
• Questions stored on your own device stay there until you clear them or remove the app.
